Hand Building with Clay

Service Description

Join us for an adult (16+) clay hand-building class this winter! This class includes (8) weeks of guidance and instruction as you navigate the elements of raw clay, form and sculpt it using a variety of techniques, learn the basics of coils, slabs, the use of forms and molds, sculpting, and glazing techniques including decals and scraffito. You will have opportunities to create and to glaze throughout the class sessions. All materials, instruction, kiln firings, and glazes are included in the fee. Each participant will be provided with 25 lbs of clay to use throughout the session. For those who wish to create larger pieces, additional clay will be available to purchase in 25lb increments for $45 and includes glaze and kiln firing. No class the week of winter break- February 20th, 2025.
